Bishop Dr . Obiageli Ezeanolue-Nwofor JP
Bishop Dr. Obiageli Ezeanolue-Nwofor, JP, is a passionate servant of God, healthcare professional, theologian, and humanitarian with a deep-rooted commitment to Christian ministry and global outreach.
Born into the Anglican faith to devout Christian parents, Dr. Edo Ezeanolue and Mrs. Uzoma Ezeanolue, she hails from Eziagu in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. She is married to Elder Okey Nwofor of Umuokpu Awka, in Awka South Local Government Area, Anambra State, Nigeria. Their marriage is blessed with three children: Jnr, Nkem, and Obinna Nwofor.
In 1996, Bishop Dr. Obiageli relocated to the United States, where she pursued a career in nursing. She earned her Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing from the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) and later obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Hunter College, City University of New York.
Her professional nursing career spans decades. She has served as a Registered Staff Nurse at Bellevue Hospital Center (New York City Health + Hospitals) since 2001 to date. She also worked with the Visiting Nurse Service of Brooklyn from 2004 to 2015.
In 2015, Bishop Dr. Obiageli answered a divine call to ministry. She pursued extensive theological and chaplaincy training in New York, focusing on Theology and Christian Counseling. She earned a Doctorate in Theology and Christian Counseling and a Ph.D. in Theology. Her ministerial journey formally began with her ordination as a Prophetess in 2015, followed by her ordination and licensing as a Chaplain and Independent Christian Clergy in 2019, and later as a Pastor in 2020. In March 2021, she became a registered Marriage Officiant in New York City.
In December 2019, she visited Israel, the Holy Land, a spiritual milestone that deepened her biblical perspective. While there, she received water baptism in the Jordan River. In 2021, she was honored as a Chaplain Of Hope Ambassador by the Worldwide Association of Small Churches.
In a historic and spiritual elevation, on December 4th, 2025, Bishop Dr. Obiageli Ezeanolue-Nwofor was duly consecrated as “Metropolitan Bishop” in USA of Non-Denominational Global Christ Church (NDGCC) Worldwide. And appointed President Bishop Council of Pakistan (BCP) for the USA. The consecration, performed by the Bishop Council of Pakistan (affiliated with the Continuing Anglican Church, England). A testament to her global influence, integrity, and commitment to Christian unity and service.
Bishop Dr. Obiageli is also an academic voice in Christian thought. In 2019, she published a scholarly article titled “Effective Christian Counseling for Secondary School Students with Low Academic Status: A Case for Integration of Biblical Counseling and Psychology” in the International Journal of Innovative Research & Development.
She currently lectures Master’s and Doctoral students in Ministry (Christian Counseling) at the Biblical Truth Theological Seminary, Pakistan, an institution affiliated with Ekklesia University & Seminary, USA.
She is the Founder and Shepherd of the Non-Denominational Global Christian Church (NDGCC) headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, with branches in Nigeria, Pakistan, Kenya, and Sierra Leone, and members across the world. The ministry reaches believers globally through in-person gatherings and online Zoom services.
Bishop Dr. Obiageli is also the visionary founder of the Good Samaritan Global Caring Hearts Initiative (GSGCH) gsgch.org a registered non-profit organization in both the United States and Nigeria. Through this initiative, she provides aid and support to underprivileged children, youth, women, and the elderly across nations.
Her passion for service and excellence has earned her numerous recognitions. In 2022, she received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from U.S. President Joe Biden, alongside Citation Awards from the New York State Assembly and the City of New York. That same year, she chaired the Annual Thanksgiving and Bazaar Ceremony at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Umuokpu-Awka.
